Meet Spring Optometrist, Dr. Lara Nguyen
Dr. Lara Nguyen grew up in Spring, Texas where she graduated from Klein High School. She attended the University of Houston and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Psychology. She earned a Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she graduated with magna cum laude honors.
Dr. Lara Nguyen is an active member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She is a member and past president of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric International Honor Society. Her clinical rotations specialized in custom contact lens fitting, diagnosing and managing ocular diseases, and the co-management of LASIK and cataract surgical procedures. Dr. Nguyen works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care and regularly attends continuing education seminars. It is because of Dr. Nguyen's dedication to continuing education that our Spring patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available.
In her free time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys traveling, watching sports, working out, trying new restaurants and spending time with her family and friends.

Jenny Tan, O.D. was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She first attended Baylor University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience and later returned home to earn her Doctorate of Optometry at the University of Houston College of Optometry, graduating with honors. She completed her externship rotations at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas and Advanced Eye Care in Amarillo where she trained extensively in diagnosing and managing a variety of ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Her training has provided expertise in primary eye care, contact lens fittings, and co-management of cataract and refractive surgery, including LASIK. Dr. Tan is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and certified Glaucoma Specialist who is passionate about treating and managing ocular surface and dry eye disease. She is also an active member of the Texas Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
In her free time, Dr. Tan is always on the lookout for a new adventure. She enjoys trying new restaurants, being with her family, weightlifting, and traveling.
